SID CHOUDHURI INTERVIEWED MARC LEMIRE ONLINE AT 4:00 AM 05/14/95: 

Q: Ok Marc, a couple of questions: I have spoken to you about various
subjects including your beliefs and I truly don't understand why you
support what you do support. For instance, why do you have such strong
feelings about white power?

A: Well I do not believe I have ever said I believe in "White Power" ,
You did.

Q: Ok, fair enough. But I see in an ad for your BBS (Digital Freedom)
that you state: "PRO WHITE GIFS", "HERITAGE FRONT FILES". Are these not
trappings of white power, if not outright white supremacy?

A: Well most of the files availible on my BBS are for people who are
not "anti-White" so I called them "Pro-White" I also Did not say in the
advertisement that there are "Heritage Front Files" I said that the
Heritage Front is one of the Group users... So is the Canadian Patriots
Network and C-FAR. I would also invite any groups who are against what
people say on the BBS to call and refute there arguements. There are a
few people who do it but I would like to see more people do it.
I have also changed "Pro-White File" to the more appropriate title
"thought provoking files" since there are files which refute what we say
online.

Q: Ok. Sorry for assuming you were aligned with the Heritage Front. I
have been on your BBS and I have seen what's online. I see alot of
files about pro-white musical groups and a definite slant towards a
white, as I say, "power" angle. Is this not true? For instance, I saw
a transcript of a file that was distributed in Ontario schools against
racism, etc. and the caption on the file said something to the effect:
this is what the forces against us are distributing; nothing will stop
us (that is what I remember, it is not a direct quote).

A: Actually the description of the file says nothing about "nothing will
stop us". I said "Shows how pathetic the forces against us really are"
I said US because the guy who wrote that flyer called to talk to me.
And i do not do any of the things that he puts in his flyer. Here is a
quote "Hate Groups are betting you're stupid"..."They say that White
women shouldn't work or have careers. They should stay home and have
lots of White babies." Now no one I know and of course not me ever said
anything like that. To get back to your original question, well alot of
files on the BBS are for White people... sure.. but I have it open so
that anyone or any opinion can be put online. There are alot of people
who upload files that you call "slanted"... If you do not want to read
the "slanted" ones you do not have to download them. I usually give
quite accurate descriptions so you know what your downloading before you
get it.

Q: Fair enough. One thing, I didn't say "slanted". I said "white
power". Anyway, I have spoken to you at length and you have said that
you are not against any race and that you believe it stupid to judge
someone on the basis of skin-colour, creed, etc. I simply can't
understand why you would put so much effort into being the sysop of a
BBS that can potentially damage relationships between white people and
non-whites.

A: Well for the first point you have said before that you think that the
files on my BBS are slanted. As for your second point... Yes i feel that
it is stupid to judge people on the basis on Race. When I first met you
i did not harbor any hatred towards you because you were not White, I
took you at face value. You had some of your own ideas about what and
who I am but we talked and maybe dispelled some of those myths. As for
your third point about my BBS damaging relations between whites and
non-whites... I think that is wrong to say. I want to have an open
forum.. but not very many people on the "opposite" side have either
tried to refute any arguement made on the board. They just send me
private mail saying how they would like to kill me and how they know
where I live. To make it semi-balanced I have to go out MYSELF and
download text files. If we are so wrong why don't people logon and show
us. I will once again put out the call.....
I welcome anyone to logon my BBS. Your privacy is held in the
strictest confidence. If you do not like what we say that call and
debate us. It is an open forum for all.

Q: I wonder, alot of people I have known who have shown enmity towards
people of different races state that they feel threatened by the
onslaught of immigration to this country. This immigration, they feel,
somehow hinders their way of life; it even degrades their lifestyle.
Are you so threatened?

A: Well I do not think in the short term it will hinder my way of life.
But I do feel that Canada should slow down the amount of Immigrants it
takes. Especially Refugees. Here is an interesting Statistic from the
Immigration Review Board... their were 562 deportation orders...
225 of the people were deported, 95 were overturned, 95 people left on
their own will and 147 were allowed to stay after appeals.. of the 147
only 2 didn't have criminal records. One was even a convicted of
man-slaughter (in Canada) for shooting another peoson in the mouth. Most
of the other 145 peole withh criminal records had serious offenses like
armed robbery and murder(Just deserts murderer. Rohan Grant)
I feel that the Immigration system is far too msmanaged and maked it
easy for people to abuse it.

Q: I agree that the immigration system is mismanaged. But, you don't
mention the many 1000's of immigrants who were NOT deported, nor the
1000's in North America who become lawyers, doctors, productive
businessmen, or hard working blue collar workers. I believe that
statistics can show anything you wish. You didn't mention the people
who are up for heinous crimes like concentration camp guards and other
Nazi war criminals either. I believe they should be lumped into that
group of murderers, don't you?

A: Well if they are Nazi murderers then they should be kicked out... BUT
only after a fair trial and it is proved that they did those terrible
things. As for you point about me forgeting to mention all the good
immigration does... Well I do not think the good out weighs the bad.
Look since we started to change our immigratoin policy in the 60's it
has cost Canadians BILLIONS. Every refugee we take in we have to give
them immediate FREE medical care, welfare, schools that have ESL
programs, housing assistance, family counciling.. etc etc.. So it costs
Canadians alot of money. In December 1993 a gallop pole said that 45%
of Canadians wanted fewer immigrants (27% also abstained) in the first 9
months of 1993 Canada took 10,948 Refugees in, which costed Canadian
Taxpayers 547.4 million dollors. Now that to me is alot of money. Why
should us Canadians have to try to fix the World problems! As for
immigrants doing so much for us.. here is a GOVERNMENT document thats
proves thats not all that true.. a report by the Economic council of
Canada says that "Immigrants have very small net economic benifits to
Canada" So there may be lots of hard working immigrants but there are
also alot of immigrants who are not. In Canada we have enough people
out of work.. we do not need to import people to fill jobs like we had
to do 50 years ago.

Q: You state that billions are spent on housing/supporting refugees.
This is true. From your statistics, I gather that 547.4 X 3 years is
about 1.5 billion from 1993 to 1995 (inclusive). I believe that the
amount these immigrants provide to the tax base outweighs this sum. I
know for a fact that the sum total of people who are here in Canada due
to immigration FAR outweighs the number who are NOT immigrants or
descendants of immigrants. If you look back through Canada's short
history, you will see that almost EVERYONE you know (probably everyone)
can trace their ancestry back to a country other than Canada. This
includes you, me, Jean Chretien, and even Mr. Zundel.

A: Well that is true but is it fair if you just came here to get the
same rights as someone who has been here for generation. My family has
been here for 24 generations. That is a long time but someone who has
been here for 1 hours gets the same rights to welfare, medical
assistance etc. They have never put into the system so why should they
be able to prosper from it?

Q: Ah, I don't believe that you, personally, have been here for 24
generations (ie. one generation ~= 30 years, 24 generations = 720
years). You are 20 years old. If someone came to Canada in 1975, the
year you were born and makes his way taking and giving, then I see
nothing wrong with him prospering.
I'd like to thank you for being so frank with me. And I hope that
others will have a better understanding of your views. I don't belive
in judging people before taking the time to talk with them. I hope this
interview allows others to see you and your views in a fair light.
